Aquamarine
This breezy blue stone is also known as “Neelamani” in Sanskrit. It was named for its resemblance to seawater. During ancient times, aquamarine was considered the treasure of the mermaids. And often the sailors used it as a talismanic stone. A Roman fishermen called the gemstone “water of the sea” and used it as protection, for safe travel by boat, and bring them good luck in the open waters. Because of its association with the calmness and peace of the sea people use it for meditation and to ward off their fears and anxieties.
